Alright so all happy and stuff with my new comp i eagerly install crimson skies...only to have it fail horrificly!

1. Most fonts are screwed to hell.
2. It crashes completely randomly

Artifacts in games do the weirdest things sometimes. I was playing Garry's Mod with my old video card, and occasionally I'd see what appeared to be pieces of terrain jutting out into the skybox for no reason what so ever. Turned out that my video card was dying, but I RMAed it to Nvidia and they even upgraded my card also, apparently the revision # on my card was a faulty shipment, and so they did it without any hassle.

I know that really didn't help you out much, so I'll give the usual suggestions:

1) Make sure you have your latest drivers installed for your video card.

2) Download and install any updates to the game.

3) Test out other games also, to make sure you don't see similar effects happening as well.

4) Google the problem.

1- Yepper.
2-Completely updated
3- Everything else works fine.
4- Google was absolutely no help.

(i managed to fix the crashing now by running in win 2000 compatability. But the artifacts persist.)

I had similar problems in the menus when I had Crimson Skies. At least it doesn't detract from the hilarious gameplay

Crimson Skies was an awesome game. It's too bad it's screwing up on you.

Like I told you in the other thread, you should really try battlestations midway.

It's like a more realistic crimson skies, except you control fighters, bombers, cruisers, destroyers, battleships, aircraft carriers, and submarines. It's awesome.
