Printer problems

I recently bought a HP Laserjet 1022 and I'm having trouble getting it to work. I have it set up as a network printer through a print server.

However, when I try to print, none of my documents get through. Neither windows or Linux can detect a printer at 192.168.1.5 (the location of the print server) even though that address worked fine with another printer.

What could be wrong, and how do I fix this?

I think first you should define "a print server".

You're saying the print server worked fine with the same print server? Can you connect to the print server via HTTP or something to access its configuration? I have little experience with print servers, so the best I can suggest is toying around with the server's options.

You should also check HP's support website on getting that model or line of printers working with print servers.
