What were your favorite childhood TV shows?
2007-07-27, 5:36 PM #1
Post your favorite TV shows from childhood! (many of these are on Youtube, and since they were never released to DVD, they can't be seen anywhere else.)

Many of these have withstood the test of time, and are still good even by adult standards (unlike the tripe tv shows that get fed to kids these days)

Mine:

1. Conan the Adventurer (this show is still good, the theme song is awesome)
2. Mighty Max (Exceptionally good, considering that the show was originally created to promote a toy)
3. Highlander: The Animated Series
4. Batman: The Animated Series (I grabbed these on DVD as soon as they came out. I remember that i did anything I could to see every episode every day when I was a kid )
5. Darkwing Duck
6. Pinky-and-the-Brain
7. The original TMNT cartoon
8. The Real Ghostbusters cartoon

These are the shows I remember from my childhood:
MacGyver
Alf
Airwolf
The A-Team
Greatest American Hero
Knight Rider
Different Strokes

I remember watching insane amounts of stuff but now I don't remember but a few of the series. Hell, just at the moment only TMNT, Knight Rider, Darkwing Duck, Matlock, MacGyver and Biker Mice From Mars come up.
Star Wars: TODOA | DXN - Deus Ex: Nihilum
2007-07-28, 12:53 AM #13
I also remember watching a ridiculous amount of shows. I'll just list the favourites I can remember.

TMNT, Aladin, Tail Spin, Mighty Mouse, Bonkers, Marsupilami, Eek! The Cat, The Tick, Earthworm Jim, Animaniacs, Batman, Rescue Rangers, Biker Mice, Get Smart, MacGyver, Lois and Clark.

I honestly don't remember being particularly into a specific show... I mostly read...
2007-07-28, 1:10 AM #15
Freakzoid.
Classic Nickelodeon shows.
Captain Planet.
Josie and the Pussycats.
"Ford, you're turning into a penguin. Stop it."
2007-07-28, 1:29 AM #16
Doug (My entire life was based on what I learned from Doug)
The Adventure of Pete and Pete (This show, too)
Gumby
Rugrats
Rocco's Modern Life
Salute Your Shorts

Yup. Not knowing about the world when I was little, I took everything from Doug and applied it to my life. Didn't always work out...

Also, as you can tell, I watched a lot of Nickelodeon. That left my out of the loop with the kids that watched all the other channels.

from when I was really little, I think Mighty Mouse and SuperTed were my favourites (I got a SuperTed cape for my 4th birthday or thereabouts)

I was also very much in to TMNT, Earthworm Jim (though that didn't start til I was older), Captain Planet, Fireman Sam, Denver the Last Dinosaur and... the Golden Girls. yup.

I remember that. I had one of the dolls which had a movable mouth. In a most uncanny occurance of me recalling something more than six hours old, I vividly remember giving said doll a potato chip. I watched that mother ****er chew and I thought it was the ****. Keep in mind I was about...5.
