motherboard replacement

Right now i have this:

Long story short. Its broken and new egg wont replace it.

Should i Just get that again (but its open box) or can someone recommend something that will possibly last more than 3 months?

Why won't newegg cover it? (assuming that its still in warranty)

They've always seemed reasonable enough to me when I've gone to them for returns.

Did you try the manufacturer? It's very possible they'll RMA it even when NewEgg won't.

I'm surprised NewEgg won't handle it. I've always had excellent results from them in the past.

what kind of processor do you have? Honestly 939 is almost, the cheapest MoBo by a reputable company would be the best thing for long lasting fun (unless you're overclocking) Do you even have two PCI-e 16x cards? If no there is no reason to get a board that SLI compatible. By the time you want to get 2 or faster cards you probably will need a faster CPU to feed the beast.

My recommendation is the Cheapest available at Newegg with good reviews.

Well... now I have 2 PCI-E cards but they arent being used for SLI.

Can I just mail it to ASUS and be like "replace this please"? If not im just going to overnight a cheap 939 mobo.

I think Newegg has the 'no replacement' clause because they can't guarantee that they'll have another open box to replace it with. They'll give you credit, though...& you can order another one.

sooo i cant get it replaced according to new egg webchat

they told me to have an eggcellent day... But I dont see whats so eggcellent about having to buy a new motherboard
