Okay...it's no secret I suck with computers. I never seem to do anything right and I always break things. This is why other people fiddle with the computer for me. But tonight I figured: I can install a game without doing anything wrong. Yeah...

I tried installing Oblivion since I finished my summer classes. When I tried to run it, it asked me to reinstall because something was missing. So, okay. I tried to uninstall, but I get the below messages (ignore the crappy MSPaint job I did.)

Blarg. :suicide:

(Oh, I should probably mention I did everything in the second message.)

1. reboot in safemode (F8).
2. Install the game in same dir as originally.
3. unistall from add/remove programs.
4. reboot normal.

Next time you install something make a system back up (before you install). That way if something goes wrong you can revert back with no problems.

So I did that. Then it seemed to work fine up until I got to the opening window of the game and then it crashes my computer. :( Maybe I should just wait for someone who knows what their doing to install it.

Thank you for helping though! I'll definitely keep that in mind next time I try to install anything.

Be sure to install the patches first.

Bah. It's not you. Your PC is just acting buggy.
