No Quake IV. :(

But still, that's pretty awesome. I'd probably get quake and quake 2, as I've never played them before.

Holy molies, that's awesome. Going to buy the superpack :o

76.80 bucks with taxes... certainly beats buying each game separately for like 200 bucks more. Yay! :D

I paid 60 bucks for Doom3 alone, and I'm too cheap to buy the expansion pack.

...

I think I might have to buy this.

So, would these games actually work on Vista? I have difficulties getting my DooM Collection to run under Vista.

Yeah, all of the DOS-based (originally released for DOS) games do that... even though they bothered to bundle GLQuake (with Quake of course) but not even standard Windows 95 ports for Doom, Hexen and such. Weird.

Then again, I really need to fix my DosBox crashing problem.

Man I really want the whole pack!

I'm considering buying this on Monday when I get paid. I just wonder if you can get the original doom games to work with mods like jDoom etc...

I sort of want Quake 2.

looks like my best bet is to find used retail copies of the Quake 1 expansions and buy the heretic+hexen pack and commander keen

buying the super pack would be a waste of money since i already have most of it

I had been ignoring this, but I just thought about the Quake pack. I would want that just for Quake 2.

Too bad Steam freaking hates me.

I was wondering the same thing. This would be a major selling point for me, but I think that it's unlikely.

Yeah, it runs great.
For some reason the opening screens appear to be cut off around the edges just a hair, I didn't notice it at all in game, just he opening menu & title screens.

But it runs and plays exactaly how I remember it.

I'll stick with my heavily engine modded DooM instead of using a dosbox version.

However, that master levels thing for DooM II is interesting. And the DooM 3 pack. I've played it, but never owned it. I've never even tried the expansion.

Also, no Heretic II is bull****. Might be an issue with Raven, though.

Kind of strange that Heretic/HeXen series is listed even though they were made by Raven Software without id's involvement yet Quake IV, developed by Raven for id software, isn't one there.

Did anyone here buy it? Are the content-files (graphics, levels, etc.) accesible like in the original releases?
I'm asking because then it'd be easy to play them with the newer ports and also on Linux. I'd instal Steam under wine for that.

Quake IV is much newer and wouldn't really make sense to be part of a $60 pack...

Yes, the WAD's are there so they can be easily loaded on Doomsday Engine for example (yet I haven't got Final Doom to work yet)... haven't tested enhanced models yet, though. Nor Master Levels of Doom.

And QLQuake is supplied with Quake but I haven't tested Tenebrae yet.

I have all the dooms and all the quakes and they all work really well on my linux box. I use the improved open-source engines and it makes playing games like Doom 1 & 2 so much better (full opengl 3d, mouselook, cool effects, etc.).
