No Sound!!!

So i finnaly got my new computer up and running except theres no sound

it has an on board sound card but i installed a sound blaster card

in bios i disabled on board HD sound cause that was the only thing i could see closest to the on board sound

in installed the drivers and then reinstalled them and still nothing.... please help

I would imagine your mobo has an "automatic" setting for sound, so you shouldn't have to disable anything by hand.

have you tried every jack on the soundcard?

Thought this was a HL thread (those were the days).

This sounds stupid, but check the simple things like volume (on speakers and through software), proper jack, etc.

i tried this with spe but he came fire ants all over my hands and they bit me :(
