Very good movie, now one of my highest rated. :eng101:

If you like the love and romance fairy tale story, but want a touch of swashbuckling and witch battling in it with some touch of comedy to keep it light-hearted, then this movie is for you.

It also has some nifty animal sacrifices, flying lightning catchers, shapeshifting enslaved princesses, greedy princes, 96 year old fighting men, fencing, 50 year old men dancing in dresses, voodoo dolls, poisoned wine, walls, cities within walls, walls that tell where walls are, and walls that barricade the cities within said walls.

Yes, but is there a motorcycle chase?

It's depressing that whilst this movie is going to make my company lots of money, none of it will trickle down to me :(

Aww Det, you'll become a millionaire yet.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Detty, are you responsible for making the UK trailer have one of my favorite bands, Dimmu Borgir, as the music for that trailer?

That's so unbelievably awesome.

um, no.

my company published stardust (and many other neil gaiman books) and also some of the companion books for the film.

Is this a sleeper hit or something? I don't see that many people talking about it compared to Rush Hour 3 (goofy fun, but not necessarily good).

I just got back, and thought it was awesome.

Then again, I'm biased. Any movie with Lightning-stealing airship pirates lead by a cross-dressing Robert De Niro Gets extra bonus points in my book.

I'm a fan of the book, but I haven't seen the film yet...

Thought it was awful :/

Saw it last night. I really liked it, but it seems the theatres have already decided it to be a flop (limited to a few showings a day in large theatres, none in smaller theatres).
Why do the heathens rage behind the firehouse?

It was good, but not that good. It's like some people who haven't made a lot of epic movies were given a bunch of money to do whatever and what they ended up with didn't work as well as they had thought it would.

But I still enjoyed it.

Matthew Vaughn is a more talented director than you can possibly imagine.

I've not seen Stardust, but I've seen Layer Cake. Therefore, I can say that any complaints toward Vaughn's work are null.
