Yeah, because that really is the bottom line. Not the sixty-four year shift in the "hottest" year on record which was before both global warming and cooling hysteria.

Who cares about lone years? It's the average that matter. The bottom line, if you really want to find one, is what SMOCK! said. And we are living 2007 - is some lone y2k bug anymore really any news?

The average global temperature is a farce anyways. It is not accurate, meaningless, and irrelevant. And the real story is the manufactured myth that 1998 was the hottest year, not a 1-2% change in a meaningless number.
