I had a 9800 for 4 years and never had a single problem with it and always had good performance out of it. Oblivion was the first game that really made it show it's age. HL2 pushed it a bit, but it still ran great.
Then I got a Nvidia 6800GT cause I don't have a PIC-e slot and it was the best I could get and have had it completely die on my once and have had continual crashes still.

So, personaly my experince with ATI is very good and nvidia is very bad.

Having walked the line my whole life, I have yet to fall into a specific camp.

ATI, Nvidia, ATI, Nividia, ATI, and now I've got an NVidia card on this computer.

If paterns continue, my next card will be from ATI.

just replaced my 6800GT with a 8600GTS. both cards have performed flawlessly and have been excellent purchases.

I still have a Radeon 9800 Pro :P

I plan on upgrading in the next few months, but with X38 and supposedly the Geforce 9800GTX coming out in november i'm not going to bother upgrading just yet.

Also I quite like the idea of going from a Radeon 9800 to a GeForce 9800 :P

I'm running on a 9500 pro because my 9800 pro's fan 'sploded. Good luck with your card but I'm totally not vibrating for something like that.

I currently have a Radeon 8500LE installed.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Considering we've vibed for people to live through surgeries, get life changing jobs, and hear good news from doctors, your radeon's shipping is pretty much the least vibratable thing ever.

But I'll turn my phone to vibrate, just for you.

Your phone was on vibrate and in your pants pocket to start with.

So that doesn't count. :P

I'm the same way. First I had an NVidia, and now I have a Radeon. :P

I would get an Nvidea right now since I don't have a single machine running Windows. ATI Linux drivers suck.

I bought a 9800 Pro 128mb about 2 months after they came out, and am still running it. (I dont get to do as much gaming these days :( ) i just want to get a card that can MAX oblivion out now. The only games I play these days are older RTS (AOE3) and rpg games. Not feeling most FPS these days.

i started out with ati. had a 9600xt, then a x850xt. both cards pretty much sucked tho, because games kept crashing with them both (the drivers blow i think). w/e. im back to good ol' stable nvidia with a 8800gts.
