This is the first time I've ever done this, which is funny, cause I swore I wouldn't.
Around 7 30 this morning I'm sleeping soundly in bed, on my back, when I heard this crack or pop. Similar to what you'd head when you crack your back/neck/fingers, only deeper. I think little of it. Then I go to move, and pain shoots all along my left shoulder. Ow. So after struggling a moment to sit up, (since I couldn't just simple SIT UP, I had to roll onto my side first) and trying to figure out what the hell just happened, and ensuring I haven't broken anything by moving around as much as the pain will let me, I go to the kitchen and grab two aspirin and an ice pack, and return to bed.
I don't so much sleep as doze, because it's hard to get comfortable without sending a wave of pain through my shoulder. Anyway, around 11 30 I get up again. Aspirin hasn't helped. Ice hasn't helped. Everyone here right now is thinking I pulled a muscle, or several. So far it isn't bad enough to warrant a visit to the doctor tomorrow, but if someone comes up with an explanation that's more serious, I'll reconsider. I have a heating pad on it now, and have for about the last hour. That's not doing too much yet.
This is like a triangle of pain. Starts around the middle of the left side of my neck, and runs most of the way down my shoulder before looping around back. This is more or less a deep pain too, poking and prodding doesn't yield much of "hey, that's were it hurts" it just hurts. Moving my arm also hurts like hell, that's to shoulder movement though.
Ideas? I'm going to go run and talk to WebMD now.
