I realise there aren't many -ians in total that will be interested in this topic, but I figured I'd start the thread anyway to see who'd join in. Hell, if it takes off it might last the whole year! (unlikely)

Personally, I think it's been a rather interesting first week, even if I'm not completely happy with it as a Liverpool fan (but I'll get to that).

The fact that there's a decent chance we won't be looking at a two horse race again is pretty exciting.

Personally, I was ecstatic to hear that Manchester Utd. are off to their worst start in 15 years. But, obviously, it's early days yet and only time will tell. I think they'll only naturally struggle while Rooney is injured. A lot of criticism is levelled at Liverpool for relying on Gerrard to win the games for us, but most teams have just such a crucial player, and Rooney for Man Utd. is one of them. Not to take anything away from Manchester City, however, as I think they really deserved the win after how desperately they clung on to the end. I liked Stuart Pearce a lot as manager, but it looks like Eriksson is doing the job for them. For now...

Now for the rant about Liverpool's game today. Rob Stiles did the worst job as referee I've seen since Graham Poll gave that player three yellow cards in the World Cup. That was never a penalty and Jose Mourinho (along with Stiles) should have the good grace to admit it. But maybe I'm being bitter by thinking that :P At least I can take solace in the fact that we played the better football, and Torres' goal was a touch of class. And it's only our second game, but come on!

Presumably Arsenal fans aren't best impressed, either (I think both maeve and Spork follow them?). Lehmann made an absolute howler to let Blackburn equalise today. How do you think your team will deal with the loss of Henry to Barcelona?

Anyway, if this thread fails, so be it :P The last football topic I saw was the World Cup, and I can't remember the last one before that.

Oh, and it's probably best to note that the official website has changed from www.barclayspremiership.com to www.premierleague.com. Some features from last season seemed to be unavailable, but that was probably only temporary. In case anyone cares :P

Now that I think of it, I wonder who Spe supports...

Yeah we should have gotten over the line against Rovers, that was dissapointing. It's always great to see City defeat United though, and the Chelsea Liverpool draw was a good result.

"A good result" as in good for your team? Or just? Because I just can't see the argument for the latter.

I watch some EPL, mostly if Bolton or Man City is on.

GO CHARGERS!

****. Wrong "football"
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.
