So I ordered Friend Green Tomatoes: Special Edition online. My mother absolutely loves the movie, and has been mentioning it for a long time that she wants it on DVD. It was her birthday on the 6th, and I ordered it on the 4th, expecting it to take a week and be a little late for her birthday.

It's August 21st, and it still hasn't arrived. I got a confirmation e-mail that they had received payment on the 9th, and that a separate e-mail would be sent for the shipping information and tracking.

I e-mail them:

Quote:
I received an e-mail a week ago explaining that payment was received, and that a shipping e-mail would be sent. I never received an e-mail about shipping on item 13323, and now I still don't have the item.

A week later, I get this e-mail from 'Emma' the customer service lady:

Quote:
your order shipped on 8/9

That's it.

I replied:

Quote:
And it's 8-20, 11 days after shipping.

And just today, she replies with the same message:
Quote:
Your order shipped on 8/9.

If this is a shipping issue, I understand. But it isn't. The package was never shipped because their 3rd party shipping company never sent me an e-mail. They never even received word of the package. The tracking stuff on their site says my package hasn't even been out of inventory yet. This woman is absolutely daft, and doesn't understand the first thing about customer service.

I WANT to reply "You stupid ****ing *****, is your record broken? I know what day you CLAIM it shipped, but I don't have it, your site doesn't say you shipped it, and your shipping company has no clue what you're talking about. Why are you a waste of human space?"

But that's mean. IDeas?

By the way, the company in question is Thermite Media. http://www.thermitemedia.com I think I'm going to sent them a link to this thread and watch their interweb cred fail.

I have to ask, what the HELL did you order from a company whose website is just a tracking page? How do you even find their products??

Tell them if they give you any more ****, you're gonna get a tubesock and fill it with oranges, then you're going to beat her with the oranges til they juice, then you're going to drink the juice in front of her while she screams "WHY! WHY!!!!"

"Fried Green Tomatos". Not "Friend". Anyway, was it significantly less from that weird seller because the two DVD versions I see on their sold and shipped by Amazon were in the $10-$15 range? Cheaper at Overstock.com and Walmart.com.

I got it for way cheaper. 6 bucks with shipping.

And I got my ma a couple other presents, she just really wanted this one.

Except you didn't! I would have chosen the reliable seller for $9 more. Not trying to rub anything in. I'm just saying that I avoid those other cheapie sellers for fear of having problems like you have here.

I got her several other things, too. A gas card, brought her out for dinner, paid for a ferry ride around the bay. She just really wanted this movie.
