..did someone key my truck?

This sucks. Good thing it's not a brand new truck...I'd be really pissed..

I hope I catch someone keying a car someday...preferably in my jurisdiction...I will be thrilled.

I like your truck, but I hate your camper. That sucks though...I have no idea if that's what a keying looks like. What a dick thing to do, if so.

It's awesome in the winter - keeps snow out. I've been thinking about taking it off until it starts snowing again, though.

When I think of someone keying (is that how it's spelled?) a car, I usually think of horizontal marks, not vertical. If someone wanted to damage your car but leave quickly without a fuss, I assume doing vertical marks like that would take more time.

That's what I thought, but I can't figure out how else I'd have three pairs of scratches. My cousins say they didn't do it..& they'd probably own up to it if they did, so I'm at a bit of a loss.

Do you park on the streetside or on a driveway? Someone might have dropped a bike or something on it that scratched the side as it fell.

Still sucks though :/

No, the metal would be sliced into and even if it hadn't the scratches would not be so thick.

I'd be more worried about the giant red spraypainted circles on your truck... odd that they are around the "scratches"... coincidence?

And on the ground under the truck >_>

Really doesn't look like an intentional keying. I think people usually go for long, horizontal scratches.

My guess would be somebody dropped something heavy, or was trying to get something big and awkward into their car when you were parked next to them.

Yeah, that's not keying, there wasn't constant force applied to whatever left those scratches. I do like the trademark "maybe I can franticly rub these marks off" finger smudges.

That was me, actually...determining whether or not it was an actual scratch, or something that would rub off. Alas, it was the former.

Could it have been a tree limb or similar falling object?
Being that they're vertical, that would be my first guess.

...yes...that's what I was talking about. I don't know too many people that'd notice something that resembles a scratch on their vehicle who wouldn't try to see if they could rub the mark off.
