Is it easier to point out faults in society....

..than advancements? Often, including me, many people tend to point out the wrongs in something/someone/some place rather than what's really good about it. Not everytime and everyone does this, but the "problems" sometimes are easily described and remembered. Why is that?

I assume this is because human nature's feelings to point out what needs to be "fixed" and move on (but doesn't mean they do the fixing) or think about what ideas don't seem to follow. Thoughts? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Kieran: The reason I put a link to it is because she is in underwear and I know the admins are touchy on that.
Yecti: Jaiph will touch himself for hours if he so much as smells a woman's underwear

Well, like they say:

"Whenever I do something good, no one remembers. Whenever I do something bad, no one forgets."

That's just human nature for ya.

Oh yeah, this just dawned on me. When it comes to attempting to improve society, you should look at what needs to be fixed first and deal with trying to improve upon what works second.

An example: Let's say that you have a new car that runs great. However, you car has a hole in one of its tires so you take it down to the repair shop to have it replaced. Let's say that when you get there, you are offered an opportunity to have your windows tinted. So, the question is: What is more important to spend the money on first? Get the windows tinted or get your tire fixed?

how can something be fixed if it is not identified?, a society will not run if everyone only looks at the positives.

True. Will there be a point where a person is completely satisfied in something of society?

I'm completely satisfied with gun control laws.

I'm completely satisfied montreal's metro system.

I'm completely satisfied by subway's grilled cheese sub on a parmesean bread with cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes, mayonaise and salt.

If you actually philosophize on what a society actually is, its rather pathetic.

I'm not "philosophizing" what a society is.

wow, I'm moving over there.

what Elana said. We should always be striving towards a better society for everybody. I can't see perfection ever being reached, but identifying faults and working to correct them is what it's all about.
