Good news blogs?

Hey Massassi, I need your help!

I'm currently taking a class called "Introduction to Media Studies" and here is one of the requirements:
Quote:
Students must read a daily newspaper (online or hard copy) or a legitimate news blog. Students will be graded on their abilities to keep up with what is going on in the news media in class discussion and quizzes.
The professor highly suggests a legitimate news blog, due to the nature of our course, and that'd be my preference as well. However, I don't really keep up with any news at all, and I certainly don't know what credible news blogs are out there.

What legitimate blogs would you suggest I look into? Any and all help would be much appreciated. :)

I don't have any recommendations but Geb told me to reply anyway.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Why would one blog about the news? Can't everybody who can read the blog just as easily read the news themselves?

The Christian Science Monitor is one of the most unbiased and well written newspapers you can find.

It also has a horrible name.

I thought this thread was going to be about blogs that relay only good news.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Yeah, I'm glad this thread isn't about some Evangelistic blogs. Geb would have made me :(
