I would say that by your logic Republicans wouldn't appear on virtually any network because of biased or non fact checked reporting. It's just the nature of the media and if democrats can't handle or tolerate (for lack of a better word) it then it will be interesting to see how they handle larger issues.

Short answer: The only other major network that's done anything remotely like this recently was CBS, and with Rathergate we got a clear correction, an apology, and a resignation. Until Fox shows even that basic level of responsibility, I won't be surprised or disappointed to see the Dems continue ignoring them.

More than one sentence, but I think it'll do.

Wrong. The one event you keep referring to on Fox News is a couple of guys commenting on an article published by another source. All of the networks do that all of the time. Fox never covered it as a hard news story. The CBS event is far worse than any trivial stories because they set out with an agenda and were so whacked out of their minds that they thought people wouldn't realize the main piece of evidence they were citing was obviously fake. It's pretty dumb to think most people would think a supposedly 30 year old memo typed in MS Word was real. And then the continued denial and Rather standing behind the story. He didn't step down until it was obvious that his buddies in the mainstream press weren't going to risk their credibility to support him. But that event was just the icing on the cake of his propaganda laden career. Funny thing was I grew up really liking Dan Rather.

The kinds of things I'm referring to would be like the Valerie Plame story. It was long known who leaked her identity, that it wasn't a crime, and that it wasn't the administration that did it. And then the reporting of the Scooter Libby case. Nobody was even charged for the original crime but since Scooter's recollection differred with others he was charged for lying and obstruction even though there was never a crime. That's fine but it sure wasn't reported like that but nearly every Democrat scandle is swept under the rug. For example, Clinton's chief of staff getting a slap on the wrist for stealing and destroying documents from the national archives in the wake of 9/11.

Like I said, I respect your opinion. I just get disgusted by this perception that Fox is so mean and unfair to democrats. If they really feel that way they would go on there all the time to set the record straight and correct the people that are wrong. No, they won't appear on Fox because they don't get the preferential treatment they expect from the mainstream media. Oh, and they had no problem showing up at the DailyKos. Hypocrites.

Oh God.

You'll have a hell of a time proving a deliberate political hatchet job (by NBC, anyway) with the Killian documents. I personally suspect that Doocy didn't bother checking the madrassa story because he was only too happy to see Obama painted as a Muslim extremist in disguise, but you'll notice that I haven't asserted it as fact because I can't prove it.

You're making the exact same incorrect statements about the Plame affair that I've heard over and over again. It's not correct that no crime was committed; Plame was a non-official cover (per documents released by the CIA) and revealing the identity of a cover operative is a crime. Armitage wasn't charged because Patrick Fitzgerald wasn't able to continue his investigation as a result of Libby's perjury and false statements. The "no one got indicted for the leak, therefore no crime was committed" line simply doesn't fly.

I've responded to these claims because not doing so would give them the appearance of legitimacy, but I'm through with this hijack. Carry on.

Yeah, Scooter Libby is why Armitage wasn't indicted. How's the Kool Aid?

edit - I really do have to give you credit though. I have never once heard anyone use that excuse.

:eng101:

There it is, right there.

In my most extreme, view however...I'd say shoot all the candidates, and start over...

it just seems to be about fulfilling the intrests of those that got you into the White House rather than, the United States' people.

Hey, it's the Republicrat 2008 sponsors: Wal-Mart and Microsoft. Be sure buy an Xbox 360, and you too, can nuke a T-Virus carrying, terrorist-baby seal for Jebuddus. :ninja:

Ah, but I digress...

...see, kids, this is what stupid people do for a pastime i.e.: Republicans and Democrats. b!tch, b!tch, b!tch. It's the *original* "war on terror". It's pointless and it has no end.

Not even Patrick Fitzgerald? I suppose that confirms my suspicions about how informed you are on this subject.

He's the only real fiscal conservative on that Republican stage. He understands that tax cuts must be complimented by meaningful spending cuts and bureaucratic restraint.

Well, Huckabee is for the Fair Tax. If Paul is then I'll upgrade him to something else. I won't argue that there shouldn't be spending cuts but tax cuts increase revenue so there is actually more money to spend. Of course there are better ways to spend it than the current system.

I'm very informed on the subject. I still have never heard anyone else say that Armitage wasn't prosecuted due to Libby. I do know that Libby helped Armitage by giving him advice after the fact, that it was known he was the leaker prior to the investigation, and that he was not charged because it was not illegal for him to do what he did. I searched your like for the name "Armitage" and didn't find it so I'm not sure why you linked to it. I didn't read the whole thing. Why would you use the prosecutor's words to support your argument anyway? That would be like if we were debating whether or not Bush lied to go to war and I quote Bush saying he didn't as proof that he didn't.

It's not hard here. All you need to do is express a conservative opinion. But I am done baiting or debating here. The horses in this thread are already decaying.
