Movies like this are why chest hair exists.

This is honestly the most badass movie I've seen in years. It's got gun fights, car chases, sex scenes, gunfights during car chases, gun fights during sex scenes, a gunfight during a baby delivery, and the list goes on and on.

It's really the most inventive, over the top, and creative action movie I've seen in years. I really can't remember one that can top this, but I don't wanna get all SAJN in this post.

In short, in terms of disregard for reality, violence, foul language, and general awesomeness, this movie makes Kill Bill Volume 1 look like The Bridges of Madison County.

the trailers look awesome, it clearly knows its a big dumb action movie and it plays to that perfectly.

The bullet proof baby thing was so frigging hilarious.

I'll probably check this out someday over the tors that rent.

The best part of it is the fact that it's not just a big dumb action movie. There are lots of movies like that, but they don't come with the incredible sense of humor this movie has.

You can tell that the director Michael Davis is one of those guys that watches commando, rambo 2, the running man, and all those sort of movies and laughs at them. Loves the cheesy one liners that occur every five minutes, loves the blatantly ridiculous action scenes where guns hold hundreds of bullets unless it matters that they don't. You can tell it was made by this guy to be one of those movies.

There are so many great lines of humor in this movie. Paul Giamatti's wife (who clearly doesn't know of his profession as a hitman) continues to call him to discuss family life at the most awkward times. Clive Owen has a great running joke about "you know what I really hate?" and he's also got a lot of one liners lifted directly from Loony Toons.

That's the easiest way to explain this movie. Watch an old Bugs Bunny vs Elmer Fudd episode of Loony Toons. Bugs Bunny is Clive Owen, except with guns, although he does still munch on the carrots constantly. Elmer Fudd is Giamatti. He does this sort of thing all the time, but Clive Owen is the one guy out there that out tricks him every time. Even when you think Giamatti's got the drop on him and it's all over, he gets out of the situation with surprising ease, but not enough to prevent future gags being set up about the things that restrain him.

All in all, it's really a movie that spends its time pandering to the action movie fan. It's got all of those cliche action movie paradigms and it makes fun of that fact. There are scenes where Clive Owen just steps back and is like "why the **** does this sort of thing always happen?"

It's just a really awesome enjoyable movie, and I think it's going to be a major sleeper hit.

It does look like the sort of film that I would sell body parts to go and see (if it didn't just cost a fiver and 3 hours out of my day).

I'll be giving it a look.
