I heard lair was a real turd bomb.

Where is the "killer app" promised? :(

I keep searching for reasons to make anyone want a PS3 and you know, MGS4 just isn't enough anymore.

Yeah, I understand it's spectacularly unplayable.

BTW, What is it with dragons all of the sudden?

They're enjoying what seems like a massive surge in popularity, and I can't figure out why. :/

lord of the rings ****** tree

so the ps3 still lacks a game worth buying it for thats a shame for sony

Warhawk surprised me with a good review.

And it's like 40 bucks instead of 60 apparently on the PSN.

Still, I feel pretty damn let down with the HEavenly Sword and Lair reviews.

I just rented Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 on the PS3. I am very, very impressed with it. Amazing game. Great graphics, awesome commands, well detailed and thought out maps with great missions and storylines.

Lair got reviews that were lower than the Fantastic 4 game. Thus it shouldn't be considered when looking at games in relation to buying a PS3.

It should be considering it was supposed to be one of the major players for the PS3.

I mean, imagine the reaction if MGS4 ends up with the same horrible controls and lag?

Metal Gear Solid doesn't need good controls, since you're just watching cutscenes and radio chatter.
VTEC just kicked in, yo!

I still don't see why they couldn't have added the ability to use the analog sticks. I'm beginning to hate everything Liar due to how the fanboys (from both Xbox and Sony) are in a b*tchfest of epic proportions over this.

I still don't forgive Factor5 for screwing up Rogue Squadron: Rebel Strike. That game should have been classic, why there were so many poor gameplay decisions added is beyond me.

And that's all I have to say about that.

I thought it was okay, but it definitely wasn't a Rebel Squadron game. Rebel Strike was more of a modern sequel to the Rebel Assault games.

PS3 controllers suck.

Halo 3 in 16 days.

The gaming world as we know it ends on this date:

DECEMBER 3rd, 2007.

Mark your calendars.

Why do you say that? By the way, rumble is coming back in October for the PS3. I do agree that the first party game has been rather disappointing so far. By the way, Star Ocean 4 was recently annouced as an exclusive title.

Are you referring to Dragon's Wars? That movie looks horrible, I heard it was Korean made.

I know you well, CM, and believe you're talking about SSBB... but that comes out the 3rd

i wonder just how long it will be before the PS3 gets any system selling games... right now it seems to be nothing more than an expensive bluray player that can play games.. all the best games on the ps3 are also available on the 360

I have to agree. I think developers are having a hard time figuring out how to make games on it (no source/confirmation though), and why waste time on it when you can sell it on the Xbox 360 which is more popular?

PS3 exclusives will be low, at least for another 2 years.

ps3 middleware is well established and ps3 programming techniques are now quite well documented. the problem is the fact that ps3's hardware is terrible for running games and the system is dismally unpopular and the company manufacturing it is literally insane.

I was actually able to play Lair at a friend's house. It was a fun shoot em up, but it got pretty boring after a while. There were dragons that would just stay still and let you destroy them.

If there aren't any sleeper hits for the PS Triple before MGS4 and FFXIII come out, the developers are going to see the writing on the wall and push it out for the 360, which would be the nail in the coffin of the PS Triple.

yeah.

even if the games aren't system sellers, it needs to have games that are worthwhile for people who already own the systems. the best game for the ps3 is resistance which is pretty damn sad.

As a Wii60 owner, I'm really hoping this happens. I just want a new Metal Gear.
