Metroid Prime - One down, Two to go.

Well I just finished the first one today, I have to say the game is very good, lives up to metroid... This is coming from a long time metroid veteran. However, it wasn't difficult at all, i breezed through it (this includes a couple instances where i set down the controller to go make food) in 14 hours, and managed 76% completion. The ending was rather abrupt and had I played this when it was first released it would have pissed me off because it explains nothing of the chozo or what happened to the meteor, the planet, or the space pirates. Lucky for me, I will be picking up numero dos tomorrow. Until then, 'see you next mission'

I generally liked Prime 2. But I wish they didn't add ammo limits to the beams, it didn't add any real depth to the shooting and became more of a nuisance than a fun feature. And the "rock-papers-scissor" beam gameplay makes a return, which was annoying in the first Prime (remember those Elite Pirate troopers with different colors, metroids with different colors, and the final boss that switched colors.) Not only that, they did the "gather keys hidden throughout the place" mission again in Prime 2, only now it was in a dark world where everything wants to kill you.

I could go on, like mentioning how you get the Light Suit so late in the game and the rather cool Echo visor becomes so useless fast. And I think they went overboard with morph-ball puzzles and fights. But it seems like Echoes is a product of a team willing to try out their own ideas to the series, which is a good thing.

ah okay. Someday maybe if I ever come back to it I will make an attempt at your accomplishment :P

I think I can beat super metroid in about an hour, give or take 5 mins. I've played that game wayyy too many times.

I just recently learned how to skip the whole 'plant battle' to get super missles, if i had known that I could proly get it in under an hour, dunno about 45 mins though, thats pretty quick.

My favorite thing to do in MP1 is to get the Space Jump immediately.

You can do that?
