Watch out for the new MSN virus...

There is this new msn virus, that when you get it, randomly sends to your contacts a message like:

"is it ok with you if I upload this pic"

and then trys to send you an a zip file named IMG-0012, inside it, theres an exe with the image "name" on it.

A lot of people are getting this bloody thing, soo watch out.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Anyone this day an age who is still tricked by such a lame tactic deserves FAR WORSE than just the virus.

The idea of this post is to not accept a random person trying to send you a photo you don't know of. I DID NOT get the virus. I saw a friend of mine get it while I was at his house (I told him not to run the .exe file, he still did anyways). So, just don't do it mate.

Thanks for the tip, SF_Gold.

and Freelancer, there's nothing wrong with spreading the word about a virus. Stop being an ******.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Accepting files from random strangers is like having sex with random strangers. They might be virus free, but probably not.

I'm reminded of a time when my friend asked my help to get rid of a worm on his system.

I ran through some measures, and then he told me got the worm from a NWN keygen. He knew it was an infected file (his A/V software told him that it was infected), but he decided to chance it.

At this, I told him that only a format and reinstall could save him.

It wasn't from a complete stranger, it was from a friend who I happened to have tooken pictures with recently and who constantly updates her fotolog, when I dowloaded and opened the zip file I realized that it was a virus due to the photo being in .exe format, I did not execute the .exe file and I deleted the zip file.

So yeah, I'm a moron because I wanted to tell people about it.
