Buying a typewriter

Does anyone have experience with a manual typewriter? I only recall having used electrics... do the manuals require considerably stronger keypresses to do anything?

Why would you need a typewriter?

Are there not enough save points around your mansion or something?

A little stronger keypresses for sure. And probably more steady keypresses. Though it has been ages since I tried one, and I was quite young indeed back then.

I wonder whatever happened to that portable mechanical typewriter... Maybe my parents still have it stored somewhere.

They're harder, but more importantly, you have to press the keys down much further.

Yeah, and some of the OLD typewriters aren't in QWERTY format. I tried typing on my great grandmas typewriter once and was like :psyduck:

Yep, definitely much harder than an electric. And yes, you have to push down more. Yes, it's harder to fatfinger on a manual typewriter as well, which is nice. Get out your correction tape :)

What's wrong with you, anyway?

As the others said, yes, longer presses and you have to press harder.
