I just bought an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum, and I'm in love. But I can't get the remote to control winamp. I use 2.9 and need (read: want really really really badly) for it to be controlled by the remote. Thanks guys. Any help?

Okay, so...

First, try to see if you remote has batteries (just kidding!!)

No, really, you should check to see if in the drivers disk/cd they've got a specific Remote Controller driver. If you're able to control other programs using the control, that's not the answer.

2nd, try Winamp.com for a plugin for remote control. That might work.

3rd (optional, but likely to help anyway) get the new winamp 3 or beta5 (might be pro 5 now...gotta check) They might have built in some fix for that, and it's also likely you'll enjoy the other features....

The remote is working fine. I just want to know how to configure it to work with Winamp. It has what look like registry keys but are actually text files that are designed to allow it to interface with programs, and there is one for winamp, but I don't know how to make the remote recognize these "profiles" at all.

You might try Winamp 5. It's Winamp 2 + Winamp 3, meaning all the good things from 2 and 3. It's not an unstable, ugly, slow monster like Winamp 3, and might have what you need. Just a thought.

There's a plugin for Winamp2 which does this exact function. I know I've seen it on there. Just look for it.
