Did anybody see where the Chargers went?

Anyone? Y'know? That 14-2 team with craploads of talent that still remains in 2007?

The team that played yesterday was definitely not the Chargers. It was some high school knock-off with our colors and logos.

All the talent we have on the Chargers and we hire a 58-82-1 head coach. That's a 41% winning average. I will be amazed if we go 9 - 7 and squeeze in by a wild card.

I certainly drank a lot last night because of football, how did your teams fare?

Also, CoolMatty: Bahahahaha! Bengals.

Yeah, Norv Turner sucks hard. Too bad, too. I really wanted to see those dirty cheaters get slapped down.

My Broncos had a real squeaker against the Raiders, but they survived. Oakland always plays us tough no matter how bad they are the rest of the year, and right now I think they're going to move up to third in the division by default.

My time fared well, I believe it was it was 38-14 ... :)

The Green Bay Packers improved to 2-0 on the season with a 35-13 *** kicking of the Giants. That makes living in Wisconsin on a Monday a great great thing. I do not exaggerate, the entire mood of the area can change based on the results of a Packers game. And yes, I really was hoping the Chargers would put the Pats down for a bit, but damn that sure as heck didn't happen. New England is looking like no one can stop them.

It's better than the absolute shame the Ravens are this season. The monday night game last monday... they should have won 12 times over, but Boller just played like crap and lost the game.

Go Redskins, says I.

Ravens shouldn't have won that game. No one should have won that game.

I am a Notre Dame fan.

No one on the planet has the right to complain about a football team having a bad season in front of me.

Except the Ravens, apparently.

Man, I like that Star Wars is only moderately nerdy, allowing one to discuss sports here without feeling spoiled and ironic.

And there are even some good matches: cheerleaders in slave bikinis, for example. Also, Jar Jar Binks as a mascot.

Star Trek doesn't fit other than the fact that beating Wesley Crusher with a crowbar would make a great sport.

Bears beat Chiefs 20-10, so my team gave your team SOME help JG. But despite it being a win, the way some fellow "fans" of mine have reacted you'd think the Bears lost by a score of 2-0.

BTW JG I think your team was too busy talking trash and thinking about their win the previous week to even care about the Patriots...

I don't know if I'd say that Boller played like crap last week. On the last possession he essentially scored a TD that was taken back with the offensive pass interference. And then on that last play he hit the TE in the numbers... its not really his fault the TE dropped it and let it get intercepted.
yay for not posting much ever

Aye. Boller led the team down and gave them a chance to win. Heap ****ed it up more than Boller did.

Wow, I just saw the highlights from Texans-Panthers on ESPN. Steve Smith is clearly the best player in the NFL. It's not even close.

St. Louis is 0-2, but of all the 0-2 teams, they're the closest to turning fortunes around. We're not even going to talk about Kansas City.

On the plus side, in college football, Mizzou is 3-0.

Hopefully it set them back down to Earth a bit. Y'know. I can almost guaran-****ing-tee that had Marty still been there, that **** wouldn't happen. He kept that team trained like soldiers...and it showed last year.

Weren't you crying about Marty-ball last season? Of course you were. Some fans are so fickle! :P

Now that I think of it, I hope your team goes 1-15 this year. A few hours ago I was like "poor Chargers, poor JG," but then I just remembered Lorenzo Neal probably ended Mike Brown's career with a cheap hogtie move. **** Neal, may Rivers turn out to be the next Tim Couch, and may roid boy overdose and be hospitalized and bedridden due to an oversized head that is too heavy.

I actually like LT, mostly because him being on my Fantasy team helped me win $100 one year, but Norv Turner seems to have forgotten that he's even on the roster. He'd rather let Rivers chuck picks all day.

Oh and your team only beat the Bears cuz that freak punt hit a Skycam wire and turned the game around. Even your punter admitted it.

Hahaha! Yeah I was. I'm not saying he was absolutely perfect. His uber-conservative playcalling was horrific at times (3rd and 15 and run it? :psyduck:). But damn was he a good thing for the Chargers. We were seriously at best a .500 team before Marty. I still remember the "quarterback wheel" on channel 8 news.

How bout them Cowboys? :P
And Colts? Although on the Colts front, they seriously do need to work on that defense if they ever want to repeat that Super Bowl win.

And Dallas plays Chicago Sunday night. A real test to see if they are the real deal this year.

And what happened to that #1 offense in the NFL that was the New Orleans Saints? They cost me some points in the pool.
