Reminds me of this one scene in Stephen King's Cat's Eye, where they put a cat into a similar room and sent electroshocks through the floor.

The cat thought it's going to die, that much is clear. Animals keep jumping on the walls like that in such situations.

What you really do is put some soap in the toilet, trap the cat in the bowl, flush for wash cycle, flush a few more times for rinse cycle, then have a door open so as soon as you put the lid up they go darting outside to dry off.

Assuming the cat is big enough to not drown/go down drain...

Yeah, but if a cat needs to be washed, I'd love for you to suggest a better alternative. Cats become most unreasonable and uncooperative when it comes to water.

Tell me about! I once tried to show my cat Lilly our pond a few years ago while holding her in my arms. When I got close to the water, she turned around in my arms and SINKED HER CLAWS RIGHT INTO BOTH OF MY SHOULDERS. DAMN THAT HURT LIKE HELL! All because she didn't want to get close to the water and I was like 2 feet away! Damn cat.

My cats were surprisingly easy to wash. Getting them to eat a pill, however, was a totally different story.

I had to sedate my cat when we moved, and it threw her equilibrium off for over a week. She was miserable.
