Sorry to use the forums for personal gain, but I need some help. In my Online Communication course we've been given the assignment to find and "conduct an interview with a web professional who is currently employed by a firm specializing in commercial web design and/or development." We're supposed to find someone who has been working in the field for three years or more, but if you've worked less than that it's not a huge deal. It's not exactly a difficult assignment, but I've been having problems finding somebody worth interviewing in my area. Basically we're supposed to ask some pretty basic questions about your job and get a little bio info from you. The whole thing should only take about 15-20 minutes and could be conducted entirely through email. siliconcowboy AT gmail DOT com

So yeah, if anybody fits the description and would be willing to help, I'd appreciate it immensely. :awesome:

6 months is basically the same as 3 years, right?

Except in a company of over 150 employees only 4 of us make the websites, it's really a publishing company that happens to own a big geek shop in London.

For the last 2 months I've worked doing PHP/JavaScript development for a medium sized company. Mostly internal.

But before that, while I was at university I did a lot of freelance development for a few people, both local business and people looking for developers via IRC.

If you're interested, PM me.

If you wouldn't mind helping me, I'd really appreciate it. I'm sure you've had experience working with web development/etc. for longer than 6 months, so I don't think it will be a problem. If you're up for it and want to give me your email address, I'll email you the questions once I get home from work.

Thanks in advance and thanks to everyone else who has responded. TheJkWhoSaysNi, I'll PM you if I have any questions left.
