I filled up a shotglass with all of the fluid from the blisters on my feet.

Those of you contemplating the military...

Go for it. :downs:

God damn, 26 hours of humping. Not so bad normally, until you get ****ED UP with ~4 in of rain and 50 mph winds. My own fault though, I suppose.

I don't have a livejournal so I thought I would post this here :downswords: . If any of you want to come over and give me an intimate massage I am down with that though.

Thank you for letting me release a few lines of my anger.

26 hours of humping and you're still up for an intimate massage? My hat's off to you, sir.

Intentional draining of blisters puts you at risk of infection. It's best to let them heal normally (using moleskin etc to keep pressure off).

Yeah, but I could feel that the skin was stuck to my socks from previous blisters around them popping. They all juiced open when I took the socks off.

And I am always up for massage from a Massassian.

if he has enough blisters that he can fill a shot glass with the fluid, i dont think moleskin is a viable option.
Welcome to the douchebag club. We'd give you some cookies, but some douche ate all of them. -Rob

Well, it's good to know all that fluid didn't go to waste.

I think the people that say that have never had to deal with severe blisters. If you drain them there is significant improvement in healing with 24 hours. Of course you are correct but in practice I have always been much better off draining blisters. Seems to be that I had a blister once that was not so painful so I left it alone and IT got infected. So I drained it and it was better within a day.

Uhm, on a brighter side away from whatever sexcapade you people are having, popping blisters and soaking them in epsom salt water is nice.

I went to the Sept. 15 March on Washington without socks on.

That was a bad idea.

Hey man, run around without shoes on for most of your life so you can develop slave feet and you really won't have any blisters...

Yeah, I know a girl that almost never wears shoes. She could probably walk on hot lava with little trouble.

So I assume that this isn't regular humping we're talking about here.

Haha, yeah, forgot that wasn't a common term.

Had fireteam comp this last weekend. 30 mile course, 26 miles with like 5 stations. 60 lb. pack (according to the gear list, I took extras :downs: ) and my favorite, my SAW hanging around my neck the whole time.

All part of my harassment package I guess.

I once had a huge blister that eventually got so painfull, I'd rather have someone kick me in the nuts than live through that again.

If I have to hump anything bigger than an M4 it goes across my shoulders. How can anyone expect you to keep a crew served weapon "At the ready"?

Yeah, like the time we did some ridiculous hump (20k I believe) and they kept yelling back "stop humping back there! This is a movement to contact!"

That was super ghey.
