I want a hat like R.A. has here. It is like one of those fuzzy russia hats but it has sides hanging down.

Hats like that aren't all that uncommon here in Finland among older men. And those sides are usually tied up but if it's especially cold you can lower them to hang down like that (or even tie them below your chin. If you are a traditional pro drunkard, you let them hang all the time, which is also why decent people avoid that style to an extent).

No idea really, a quick Google search resulted in this page but 27.99 quid for a fur hat? Geez.

I guess there's also eBay. But I guess you've already checked those or then not geez cheese

It sucks you chose this year and not last year to look for such a thing. I just now found out sovietski/siegler shut down back in January of this year. While this doesn't really help you, I'm taking a moment to mourn, now I'm not sure where to get Stasi come-alongs legally. :( So, to answer your question, maybe an army/navy surplus store?
