I don't get what makes one hemisphere west and the other east.

Wow, that means my hometown is 3 miles into the bad hemisphere. Does that make me a commie now?

As for birds, this summer while waiting for a train in Sarajevo, we watched this one crow manage to hammer a can for long enough to make it split a little and get to whatever sauce was inside. Pretty impressive for a bird.

I saw a documentary about a bird that would wait for the trafic light to turn red, place a nut on the road and let the cars do the work of opening it.
Sorry for the lousy German

At one of the stores in my town there is a crow who sit outside the door waiting. When some one walks up the automatic door opens and it flys to the next doot and sit and waits for it to open. Once its heads straight for the seating area next to the deli and eats crumbs and begs for food. When its full it goes back to the door and waits to be let out.

Yea man birds are friggin smart. I've heard stories of crazy stuff like this before.

At this resort next to my house this bird in the office talks to customers. It escaped once and ended up like 25 miles away, living with some foreigners for a while. It came back with an accent lol. (Nothing to do with intelligence really but a funny bird story)

I heard birds have X-Ray vision and can melt solid steel with their eyes.

On one show I saw a raven that would wait for ice fishermen to leave and then pull up their line and steal the fish.
Why do the heathens rage behind the firehouse?

Ravens are like one of the smartest birds, I think.
They can correlate their speech to actions or questions. Make tools and stuff. Etc

Also awesome was one documentary about how humans and animals live together and they showed a fisherman who used birds to catch fish.
Sorry for the lousy German

Wow that video had me laughing harder than I've laughed in a long time. Thanks for that.
