the friends you only have to refer have to all sign up for an offer themselves, so yes, it is a pyramid scam. My sister didn't read the fine print, and so ended up with a video professor CD she didn't need and no IPod.

I'm signed up, and it only took a few minutes to sign up for aol broadband, then cancel it by phone. But the conga lines are all so disorganized that I doubt it would work unless you joined one that had just started.

Yeah, I poked around that site for a few minutes one day out of sheer curiosity. It's a load of garbage. In order to "recieve" one, I was told I needed to sign up for 3 offers (all of which I wouldn't had to pay for) and then get 2 friends to sign up for one offer. Yeah. Right. How do I explain to my friends that they need to sign up for that just so I could maybe get an iPod?

So yeah, I'll save up a little more than buy one.
