Biggest waste of money ever. Do you really want to just ****ING WASTE a half a million dollars to do unnecessary alterations? ****ing stupid. It isn't apparent from the ground, that's why the Navy didn't change it in the 60's when it was built.

The swastika is hundreds, maybe thousands of years older than the Third Reich.

Well, the building is from the 1960's. Who knows, it just might be in need of a little renovation and repair anyway. This could have been just an extra incentive and might have made it easier to have the money allocated to the project.

I was under the impression that those satellite maps were only updated once every few years. I don't know if builders are as bad in the US as they are in the UK, but factor in construction time as well and we'd have the swastika building on maps for a while yet.

I remember how in the first Zelda game - one of the temples was in the shape of a swastika.

It wouldn't be a waste of money to change it if people didn't have to complain about it almost everyday. I bet few people even filed lawsuits because, heaven forbid, a building takes on the general shape of a swastika when viewed miles above the ground.

Still, the designer should have taken this in account.

The study carrels in my U's library are shaped like swastikas when viewed from above (you can see from the library's stairs). Maybe I should petition the school to replace them all.

The nazi and the original are actually mirrored images of each other, one facing one direction. I believe the nazi 'twists' right, thus that is a nazi swastika, and the original goes left....thus that is the Nazi version if I got my directions correct. :v:
