Could anyone send me a link to patch commander? The official website seems to be dead. Thank you.

Edit: I finally found a link to Patch Commander. Thanks for your help.:)
Also if anyone else wants it: http://jkdf2.net/files/utils/JKPatch_v40.exe

Uh, yes it does, and works much better than Patch Commander.

Yes. And you'll be happier that you chose it over Patch Commander.

It's ten times better than patch commander. Not using it is just pigheaded.

umm... it was made for Dark Forces 2... so either you don't know what you're doing, or you set it up wrong.

Does it really matter what I use? If I want to use patch commander, then I will use it. I find this thread really funny. :tinfoil:

Edit: If it makes you guys happy, I will try it again. But I am still keeping patch commander.:P

Yeah, I don't know the difference between the two so I'm inclined to agree.

Now if this were an argument about JED versus JKedit would have an opinion.

I was about to say this.

I'm scouring my brain trying to possibly think of a feature that I'd want that Patch Commander doesn't have. I have failed in this endeavor.

Thank you Greenboy & Freelancer! I agree Patch Commander works perfectly well, and I don't need really anything else.

Besides that Patch Enforcer has better compatibility, better resource checking, and is much much faster?

Patch Commander had a few bugs that were never fixed.

I'm feeling warm and fuzzy inside? I should probably work on that program more. At the moment .NET is horribly broken for me in XP so I'd have to boot into Vista to do any work on it... Vista, where my audio drivers are broken and games run like @#$%. :(

I don't recall patch commander being particularly slow. The other two things don't really matter to the average user.

Load in a bunch of patches, it slows down quite a bit. I think that was the main reason MZZT made it :/

Actually I made it because it stores VITAL program information in the registry, and crashes if it disappears (IE Windows reinstall). I didn't know this at the time, and so couldn't fix it.

Also I got .NET 2 working again and I'm working on UJMM now a bit. I think one thing I'm gonna do is eliminate the "Run without mod/Run with mod" redundant options by putting the unmodded game right in the list of mods. I already do it in all my other game launchers...

[Edit: Gonna get it running under UAC in Vista... right now it writes everything to HKLM which is a no-no. Gonna change that.]
