Heh, good luck. I don't think it's too unpopular, but very few people would remember it. I'll give hints if no one figures it out in a while.

EDIT: I made the pic bigger. I realized it was a bit too small for many people's taste. The original screenie isn't that big though, considering its lack of high-res. (HINT HINT)

And no, its not a console game. And no, its not the cover for the game.

BTW: What do you mean it wasn't 3D? I think your thinking of Wolfenstein. The DOOM world was 3d, with the enemies being 2D.

In this game (hint #3) the enemies are 3d, and so is the world, but buildings and such are all 2d sprites.

DOOM wasn't 3D because it had severe geometric limitations.. Thus in many senses calling DOOM fully 3D is false.

And my next guess is Age of Empires.
