I've realized that I really love a number of foods that everyone hates. There's only one food that I don't like and that's Mushrooms.

I avoid them most of the time but I've found that on some hamburgers they are quite good, however, that is probably due mostly to the other things on the burger rather than the mushrooms but... yeah... you get the point.

Bah, I forgot to vote for sardines. They taste pretty good with the right seasonings. Same goes for Deviled Eggs.

Deviled eggs with paprika mixed in and on top are amazing. I do like a lot of paprika though. In my deviled eggs, it's a key ingredient, not a garnishing.

Impossible for me to vote, as I eat none of the foods listed.

I've eaten two cups of Finnish cottage cheese every day (except for a few random instances like being in America for 6 days etc.) since 1998.

As for the rest of those, bleh.

I love beets, sourkraut with shaved carrots, deviled eggs, and cottage cheese mixed with yogurt and raisins/raisin bran. Sardines by themselves are kind of gross, but they make a wonderful addition to many dishes, such as lamb shanks tulouse. I don't mind generic white mushrooms in certain dishes, but I by far prefer portabello caps. Portabellos taste more of umami, which is delicious.

Also, paprika is a garnish for prettiness and color as far as I'm concerned. Heat is better applied through cayenne pepper or something similar than paprika.

From the list, I like calamari and peas. I also like mushrooms, particularly in a fry up.

Beats? Is that beetroot or what?

If so I ****ing love the stuff and nothing else on the list.
nope.

The only thing I don't like on the list is pickled beets. Beets period, I guess. And I don't really eat sardines, but I can't say I don't like them. And, I guess creamed corn is a white trash food, but it doesn't taste bad.

Sauerkraut is good, especially with sausage or any other pork product. Greens of all types are good. I like calamari, but having it fried is a waste. It tastes a lot better sauteed in oil with white wine, like most seafood. Deviled eggs are a great hors d'oeuvre, topped with paprika or scallion. Cottage cheese is a good snack, as long as it's at least 4% milkfat. Liver is tasty, too, as long as it's really fresh.

I don't understand why people wouldn't like escargot. It's smothered in butter, garlic, parsley and salt. It doesn't even taste like snail. One time I was served live, chilled snails in a Japanese restaurant in Paris, same way they give you a bowl of edamame in the States. They were a bit tougher to eat, but the Japanese guys the next table over were sucking them down.

100% agreed. It's the one I'm most confused about on this list being the least.

Also, could an admin fix my beats typo?
