The only thing I don't like on the list is pickled beets. Beets period, I guess. And I don't really eat sardines, but I can't say I don't like them. And, I guess creamed corn is a white trash food, but it doesn't taste bad.
Sauerkraut is good, especially with sausage or any other pork product. Greens of all types are good. I like calamari, but having it fried is a waste. It tastes a lot better sauteed in oil with white wine, like most seafood. Deviled eggs are a great hors d'oeuvre, topped with paprika or scallion. Cottage cheese is a good snack, as long as it's at least 4% milkfat. Liver is tasty, too, as long as it's really fresh.
I don't understand why people wouldn't like escargot. It's smothered in butter, garlic, parsley and salt. It doesn't even taste like snail. One time I was served live, chilled snails in a Japanese restaurant in Paris, same way they give you a bowl of edamame in the States. They were a bit tougher to eat, but the Japanese guys the next table over were sucking them down.
