Remember the cartoon show Captain Planet?

Remember the villain woman with the streak of white hair on her head? Dr. Blight was the name I believe. Remember she had a "sidekick" who was an evil computer? He was often seen as a green outline of a face projected on a screen. Well, the name of this evil computer guy is "MAL". And, guess what, MAL is a play off of HAL (9000) from 2001: A Space Odyssey.


Why I didn't realize this until this afternoon is beyond me. I guess I was just reminiscing of all cartoon shows gone by. Come to think of it, there was some things of Rocko's Modern Life that I didn't "get" until older. Astonishing.

Yeah. I didn't know Rocko was working at a phone sex place when I was young. I mean, I didn't even know what phone sex was when I first saw that episode.
