Unusual Drinks

At times, when I have no juice, coke, or any other drink besides water I sometimes get one Airborne tablet and casually drink it. I have 3 flavors too.
What unusual stuff do you guys drink?

I hope you're not taking more than one Airborne tablet a day because it will wreck your liver.

Also: They are disgusting.

Cue Rob telling you that you've almost certainly not had real absinthe.

I can't seem to choke down a full glass of Airborne

I haven't had absinthe in a few years and I still have some bottles I brought back from Prague somewhere in my house.

I prefer making iced green tea and then pouring espresso into it. It's a very peculiar taste. I should try it mixed with Jameson's.

That's interesting. What's the tea:espresso relationship, usually?

Tequila and Coke. I can never seem to convince anyone that this is a real drink.

Had absinthe in Sweden and again in Prague. It's alright.

There's absolutely no way I'd ever drink this, but it's probably the most unusual drink I've heard of:

Hold a shot of Bailey's in your mouth, squirt in some lime juice, and shake your head vigorously to mix. I'm sure you can guess how the cream reacts to the lime. It's called the cement mixer.
2007-10-09, 4:19 PM #15

Tequila and coke works pretty well, better than you'd think, and it's a good way to make crappy tequila palatable. It's a :master:, if you will.

An unusual drink done by college students is the "Screaming Nazi." It's one part Jägermeister and one part Rumpleminze, put into a shotglass. It's a stupid drink, and while not especially terrible, doesn't work well at all. Both of the former drinks are popular with American college students, and since they're both from Germany, they're obviously for Nazis. Yuck.

about 80% of my liquid intake is just plain water. The other 20% is either gatorade or mountain dew, depending on what my mom bought for the week.

I drink a LOT of water.
I had a blog. It sucked.

I do too, but I've been trying to cut down because I can't afford that much bottled water and while I'm usually fine with tap water, there's been something wrong with the water at our school for a while

Get a water purifier. It'll save you money a lot of money, and if you keep it in good shape, you'll get water comparable to anything out of a bottle. The water in this town is awful (it comes out of the tap brown after it rains), I'd probably have died of dehydration if I didn't have one.

Bottled water is the biggest scam ever. If you went back in time and told people in the '80s that Americans would consume 25 billion+ liters per year, for ridiculous prices, they'd say at least they're putting their money for blow to good use. It's also horrible for the environment, to ship individual plastic bottles around the world, when you could just as easily make water that tastes the same out of your local water supply.

What I do for water is go to the local grocery market, they have a big purifier that makes the water awesome. 5 gallon jug, refill every week or so. I need to drink more water. :/ Its also cheap, like 30 cents per gallon.

One drink that I used to make often but I haven't in a few years is cranberry juice with ginger ale, or cola. Works even better if you can get carbonated cranberry juice. I drank those before I was old enough to drink alcohol, but I imagine it'd make a great cocktail.
2007-10-09, 7:15 PM #23
Speaking of ginger ale, theres some awesome stuff out there that most people never touch. Cock & Bull ginger beer is extremely awesome. Aussie Ginger Brew in the hot variant is also awesome. Good ginger ale/beer should taste like ginger, not like sugar water>_>

I saw something a while back that put numbers to bottled water, said something along the lines that it takes 4 billion gallons of water to make 1 billion gallons of bottled water, and another 300,000 gallons (or maybe barrels, dunno, yes I'm aware it's a big difference) of oil just for the bottles themselves.

But regardless, yes bottled water is just retarded.

Am I the only one here who just drink's their alcohol straight.. as in without the ****ing coke or root beer?

My buddy gave me some Tequila last night and I just turned it up and drank it. He goes "You're not going to mix it with anything?"

I didn't see the point.... :gbk:

Around the holidays I can find Canada Dry cranberry ginger ale. I like it mixed with some peach schnapps.

I drink whiskey straight. The rest just tastes better with some sort of mix.

Captain Morgan, Jagermeister and Southern Comfort I drink straight.

Tanqueray MUST be mixed with pink lemonade--ginger ale optional.

Everything else must be mixed with Wild cherry Pepsi, pretty much.

I also drink chocolate flavored coca cola. While it is AWESOME, it's quite unusual I've found.

Went six for six in a "mixed drinks" category at trivia night last night. :awesome:

And I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would want to drink anything other than whiskey (or whisky) straight.

Scotch whisky and Irish whiskey should be watered down to around 30% or less, or else the alcohol will overpower the taste and aroma. It should also be served at room temperature, not chilled, for the same reason. Cheap whiskey is alright to serve on the rocks, or mixed with ginger ale, club soda etc.

I like taking vodka neat, in a Russian style dinner. Whenever someone brings up a good topic of conversation, you toast with a shot. It's not a dinner you'll be driving home from, but it's a good time nonetheless.

So many people call this gross its retarded, but if you mix just the right amounts, you get sweet vodka.

I call it a golden shower (mainly because it looks like piss) because its enjoyed by some, hated by most.

I've not done measured mixes, but typically i do about 1-2 shots of vodka in a red solo cup (the party cups) and fill the rest with A&W cream soda. MMM foamy, sweet, and highly intoxicating.

I've been using 16 oz of green tea to 2 oz. of espresso. Add in some sweetener.
