EDIT: Nevermind, the school is called SuccessTech. They obviously suck.

Obviously wrong.

He had a .38 full of ammo and he only managed to wound four unarmed people? Thank goodness he was in idiot.
2007-10-10, 8:36 PM #17
Yeah, because I bet you're ACE at shooting to kill. Especially at age 14.
2007-10-10, 10:31 PM #18
See... wtf. People do shootings with random *** weapons.

Why not get something you know you can actually score a hit with? like an AR-15.

Just sayin'...

AR-15's are not hard to come by.

I'm sure they are if you're 14.
2007-10-10, 10:46 PM #22
They are for a fourteen-year old. :P

But assuming you pass a background check and you don't live in California, it appears that it is pretty easy to come by one.

It's not that hard, epically at close range. I could have done it when I was ten. It wouldn't take that much effort at all to aim for something moderately lethal in a school building. He had probably never fired a gun before.

Haha, now you Americans are bragging about how you would have been able to shoot more people. Goes well with my previous post.

I fear for the safety of my country if my fellow servicememebers think you can't "score hits" with a .38 special.

There was a kid who lived around here who had a dad with that same mentality. He let his DJ Yoshi 12 year old tote a .38 around. I think he shot two kids like ten years ago.

A competent killer can kill people with any weapon. Luckily this kid wasn't. The problem is he probably thought he was a competent killer. That's the burgerboy mentality these days! (Dear god I hope burgerboy becomes something that they use on the news someday)

You could probably patent a word that useful.

Unless your mommy took you out shooting every day when you were ten I seriously doubt that.

You worry me sometimes. I really am starting to think home schooling is a bad thing for a child.

Yeah but if you were the gunman in a school shooting all you'd have to shoot is what? Your mom and your cat?
nope.

No no no, they need to have more time to draw their reality from computer games! It's important!

It takes a VERY talented parent team to not make homeschool ghey.

I really wish people would stop doing this...it solves nothing. If they were picked on in school, I feel bad for them, but in the end a lot of people get picked on in school. You either have to turn yourself around, grow up, or find a mixture of both which makes them stop/makes you happy, regardless of what others say.

I just wish that there was some way we could recognize this kind of behavior before it happens, but more often than not it's just random.

I agree with Yoshi, and I know this will probably start a huge debate but I just want to throw in the comment that it would happen much less often with either tighter gun control or even a possible handgun ban. I mean there's something completely ****ed up in a country where a 14 year old can get ahold of a deadly weapon.

[Yes I'm going to use Britain as an example here, tiny island waaaaah] About 12 years ago here in Scotland there was a shooting in a primary school where a bloke gunned down 16 young children in a gymnasium and their teacher before offing himself. The Dunblane Massacre was what led to handguns actually being banned in Britain as a whole and there's not been a school shooting since. I mean I know we're only about the size of Virginia and in the states it would probably still be possible to get ahold of guns, but damnit it would probably at least make it harder for teens to get their hands on them.
nope.
2007-10-11, 2:11 PM #37
We should just ban teenagers. :ninja:
My blawgh.
2007-10-11, 2:12 PM #38
Dude he's 14 and he had a hand gun, he probably took it from a family member or stole it. :/

Gun control doesn't make illegal firearms magically disappear, it just makes them more illegal. :/

What we need is ******* CONTROL.
2007-10-11, 2:14 PM #39
Baconfish - it was already illegal for him to have the firearm.

At close range, it's not difficult at all.

...and I was shooting when I was nine. :awesome:
woot!

But think about this.

At Age 14, were you ready to point a gun at someone with TRUE intent to kill? Could you have really killed another person, knowing full well all of entire scope of consequences?
