Driving to Michigan... (and back)
2007-10-10, 3:01 PM #1
It'll be about a 25 hour trip each way. My sister and her fiance sold a car to some guy in MI... (on eBay). So now we're driving two cars down and driving one back. Leaving in about a half an hour.. And hope to be back Friday evening.

Do you think I'll get sick of driving? (On sunday I drove my friend home to Boise (about a 6 hour drive) just for fun, and because she didn't want to drive.)

Anyway, talk to you guys in a couple days.

If I were planning the itinerary, I so would. But it's not up to me, and we're trying to do this quickly.

I'm going to Columbus sometime next year to visit people.

But I don't think you drink, so you aren't any fun. :/

so we were about halfway through montana and the car I was driving (the one being sold) engine blew. theres a gaping hole in the side of the engine.lus shrapnel hit the radiator and knocked a hole in that. the car is dead on the side of the road. were driving to grand forks nd now cause my sisters fiance used to live there and wants to pick up some stuff he left with someone there, so no MI but ND instead.

OMg, if you were in city limits that means you were probably less than five miles from me. :tinfoil:

Actually, if you cut through Indiana, (which is about the only way to get to Michigan) you could have stopped to see me. Oh well. I will visit some Hoosierians someday.

Actually, it was Caldwell.. But I was in the city to catch my plane back, and also I've spent time in the city in the past.

and..

if you guys want to see the route we took, go to maps.google.com and click Get Directions, then type in Coeur D Alene, ID to Grand Rapids, MI.

That was basically our route, except that we didn't make it all the way. Detoured north in Fargo, ND, and took I 29 north to Grand Forks. (see previous posts) Then headed back towards ID along the same route.

Chiming in on Ohio roll too.

Anyway, as far as the driving, Sarn, you'll probably just get really good at it. Someone I know drove to California solo, and he became, if anything, a very good driver.

I actually am a really good driver, Warlock. That's why I was chosen to drive one of the vehicles.
