Looking for pokemon games
2007-10-13, 10:54 AM #1
I'm looking for:
Red
Blue
Yellow

Bonus games:
Leafgreen
Firered
Gold
Silver
Sapphire
Ruby
Emerald

If anyone wants to send me any of these games, I'll pay 10 bucks for the first game, and 5 bucks for every game after that. I really just want the original 3, though.

I have Red, but I really have to ask... WHY?
2007-10-13, 11:01 AM #3
Why not is a better question, Never question someone who wants to pay to get crap you don't use.

Because pokemon is one of the greatest games... ever?

But why the originals? Hell, FireRed is the exact same game with better graphics.

More of a collector's will.

I really just need the original 2 games so I can "catch em all" while I edit at school. I've found that I walk away from the editing booth when I render, and thus get into a conversation with someone that lasts far longer than the 5 minute render time. If I had a pokemon game to play while waiting for the render to finish, I can get more done.

I have Yellow, and you'll have to pry it from my cold, dead hands to get it. Red and Gold were stolen from me when I was younger.

FireRed and LeafGreen were great, but they definitely felt different from Red/Blue. If I could, I'd love to play Red again.

Ideally, someone would have all three, or even the first two so I can pay just one person 15 bucks.

Crystal, as in Gold/Silver/Crystal for the Gameboy Color.

Kirby is confusing his Pokemon games.

You wouldn't want my pokemon red.

I had to take the cartridge apart because the battery failed.

I have the original Pokemon Pinball for GB if you want it.

you do know that the batteries of most pre crystal (which had a much better type of battery for battery back than previous games) games would be dead by now if they have not been replaced. I have lost my red and blue, but seeing as how my gold has a dead battery, it is quite likely that red and blue would be about to die (they would have lasted longer due to the battery not having to power the internal clock.)

not to mention that the old games are not of much use any more.

Ahh red and blue.

Blue was the first handheld game I played ever and second game I played too. So Savage, you're not alone.

I also remember that trick where you fly to some island, ride on a water pokemon on the east shore, go up and down, encounter some glitch pokemon, and if you have an item (like a nugget or rare candy) in a certain slot BOOM you have like a thousand of those items.

Ahh, too bad I threw them away.

Don't forget Pokemon Stadium. Back then seeing my 2-d pokemon characters as 3-d with those effect was cool. Don't forget those little minigames too with like getting the sushi and the hypnotizing game.

Cinnabar Island. Missingno, the greatest Pokemon ever.

They still make Stadium games for each new generation. The newest is Pokemon Battle Revolution, which features online play through Wifi. Fighting against people with all legendary teams sure is a blast.

Red and blue batteries should be fine, but gold and silver's batteries were running a clock which would make them run out eventually.

I have red right now. Originally had blue when they came out in 98 but I sold that along with a bunch of other gameboy stuff.

The battery is really easy to replace.

It's just a regular button battery held on with a metal tab.

I broke my metal tab off, then stuck foam in the case to hold the new battery in place if I remember right.

Either way I just checked and it still works.

I just checked, all 3 work. Give me time to figure shipping costs and I'll get back to you.

I have a bootlegged Green version that was poorly translated into English. It's super-rare. Also, I have Red version and Silver version.

Only one I actually played through was Gold.

I have Yellow and Silver... but... they really are pretty good RPG games. I'll probably never play them again, but i keep them 'in case'

I only owned Blue. I'd never sell it, for the same reason I'd never sell any of the games/consoles I own. I'm a hoarder. Seriously, a guy I went to school with once made me a damned good offer for my N64 and a bunch of games, and I couldn't bring myself to part with them.
