I write a regular humor column for my college newspaper. It's usually a bit broad and rambling, but some people seem to enjoy it.

I thought I'd link this particular column, because it's about video games and you kids seem to like playing video games.

Obviously, the difficulty with writing about video games is that every observation about video games has been made in a much funnier and dirtier way, 17 times on the internet. And, of course, the fact that I'm writing for a broader audience, means I can't be as obscure, as say, something awful.

But I'd thought I'd link it anyway, because this site was was where I experimented a lot with humorous writing, on the Interactive Story Board.

That was really funny. It lost some steam halfway through, but I still love your style.

Kind of a fun read, but what was the point? The column was all over the place.

The point, obviously, is that Steel Tariffs are far too high for a modern economy. I thought that was clear.

Yeah, it was blatantly obvious.

Seriously, though the haphazard nature of this column was one of the weaknesses. It was particularly bad in this one. Part of that has to do with how I write it. I brainstorm, and then slowly flesh it out. Theoretically, I could have focused on a narrower topic, and written more on just Warcraft or just Video Game violence. But then I'd have to give up on a whole slew of jokes about one topic or another. I'll keep that in mind, though, as I write in the future.

There's usually not a larger point to the column -- though there's sometimes smaller observational ones.

I know the response already, but I feel the need to quote Ford anyway:
For some reason, I found the Mario as Japanese President bit really funny, especially #3. Your writing is awesomeness, as always, Yan-ee-tor Bob.
