This sounds like a fun forum game!

Rules-Post BEFORE you start on a picture, That way we can hopefully avoid doubles/reversed orders. Would be nice if you could specify what part you are going to do too (IE- "Im going to draw the trash compactor") so we don't all have to wait on one picture.

-Only episode 4 for now.
Mine isn't really the best example but hey, its paint its not meant to be good.

No telnet in vista...
:(
2007-10-16, 9:19 PM #18
Really? That sucks. You could always use putty or go here,

Seriously though, telnet is a useful protocol. :colbert:
ssh still beats the pants off it.

Yeah, the lack of Telnet still confuses me. Why NOT include it? What do you gain out of removing telnet? Yes, SSH is better, but telnet is a legacy and possibly necessary protocol in some instances, so removing it is simply removing functionality. It just doesn't make sense.

Neither does people using Starforce.
(Vista won't let Starforce install, I can install any starforce game and not worry, It's fun)

Vista has telnet, it's disabled by default.
*cough*

i like the text version better... and obi wan has a blue lightsaber in this one btw...

It might be because of the security of telnet - my work doesn't let us log into the server from home using telnet because your user name and password are sent in pure text format across the net and can be intercepted. We got hacked this way once.

Very cool video by the way :)

You've got to differentiate between telnet the protocol and telnet the program. The protocol itself is insecure because everything is sent unencrypted.
But the program is very usefull because you can use it with most other protocols. There are supposed to be people who read webpages with telnet.
