Get her a hug and save yourself the strain? Any relationship based on impressing the other isn't worth taking part in. Not to mention, you're 16. Do what feels natural, and is indicative of your feelings for her. Would you say you love her, or that you'll have a very serious relationship? If so, get her something that symbolizes this. A box with a couple of photos of you guys together, and some items representing memorable times with her, and enough room for her to add more stuff? A trinket of some kind on the side is always nice too, like a keychain or something that will remind her of you that you can sneak onto her purse when she's not looking.
If you don't think it's serious, or it isn't very clear how things will go from here, take her out to something you like doing on your own, and show her why it's special to you. Let her get to know you a little more while showing her that you're letting her in on something you keep for yourself. Note: Don't ever give up ALL of your secret hiding spots, though. Those are essential for any relationship to work.
Just make it indicative of the relationship. You also might want to consider a useful item. 15 dollar ipod dock with radio/clock/alarm? Gas card? Pushup bra, you know, if she's not all there. These sorts of things beg for a pretty night on the town too, though.
