Baseball Postseason

My apologies if nobody cares (actually, I stopped really caring when the St. Louis Cardinals quit playing in September). But still, it is October, and it is an exciting time for Baseball.

We all know what happened in the various LDSes. All got swept in 3 except for the Yankees, who lost in 4. Then the two LCS games. Rockies swept the Diamondbacks, and Cleveland is on the verge of beating the Red Sox. 1 game away. BTW, Cubs are still cursed, and still suck.

So, the question remains, who will win the World Series? Will Boston come back to repeat what they did a few years ago? Will the Rockies win their first ever World Series since the founding of the franchise (1993)? Will Cleveland break the second longest losing streak in MLB history (haha, Cubs still suck)?

Discuss, if you care.

Cleveland will topple the Red Sox, and will then proceed to beat the Rockies in 6 games of the World Series. This 8 day break for the Rockies will kill their momentum.

The Red Sox will rally and win the next three games. Beckett will pitch complete game shutouts in each start. Ortiz, Ramirez and Lowell will combine for 26/31 including a home run each for the remaining three games. The Rockies will then forfeit, knowing their chances are slim to none.

I'll put money on it.

Rockies are going to win the world series, Boston had their turn, now it's time for the Rockies to win their first.

Forget about Boston.

Cleveland fans deserve it more. They haven't won anything in YEARS. At least Colorado has had some success in football (and sometimes coming at the expense of Cleveland, see The Drive). They even had their football team taken away from them, despite the fact that they have always shown relentless support.

I think it'd really suck considering that if the Indians lose to the Rockies in the World Series, it will be the second time in a row that they lost the series to a 1990's expansion team that had, to that point, never won one. That's what happened in 1997 with the Florida Marlins.

You know what would suck more for the Indians? Losing tonight and the following two games. Beckett will pitch 27 scoreless innings. Swear to god.

Can Boston do it? Can they come back to win the ALCS tomorrow?

I was kind of rooting for Cleveland too.

It doesn't matter. The winner of this series is just going to get run over by the freight train that is the Colorado Rockies.
