Need to know the name of a cable.

Yes, I know this odd and really vague.
My ATI came with a small cable that plugged into the card and split into 2 s-video cables and 2 yellow cables. I need to know what the hell it's called so i can get a new one.

(Sorry for vagueness)
(It's an X1950 Pro BTW)

Go to ATI's website and find the cable on there somewhere.

What do the plugs on the yellow cables look like? I'm guessing they're RCA video jacks but I could be wrong (in which case it'd be a dual video-out cable or something).

Also, check the user's manual for the card, usually there's a listing of everything that came in the box, which should be able to tell you what it is.

The yellow thing was hollow, I had the yellow from a red/white/yellow in it so it would hook into a TV.
So that would be composite video out.. or something
A manual.. Yes... I wonder where it is...

Usually those types of cables are specific to the video card, because the plug they use to connect to it has a proprietary pinout.

In other words, the only way to get another one would be from ATI, unless another company happens to use the same layout.

It wasn't even my fault
(If you really MUST know why then read on, be prepared for immaturity and such)

It was hooked into my computer then someone got the great idea to clean up by unhooking it and throwing it in a box with all the other cables.

Very true, I've tried to mix in match between ATI and nVidia and usually get a horrific video output of scanlines and video scrolling up.

But less brains. I prefer the brains.

Wouldn't it take less time to just look for it rather than waiting for shipping?

lol, just go to ebay or a surplus store and obtain one s-video cable, one rca cable, and one male 9-pin mini-din connector. Get a knife, some duct-tape, and a soldering iron, and get to work. Be careful with the copper shielding

you'll have to find which pins to wire to which. Make sure you don't invert male and female pin diagrams like i did when i wired my commodore cable

It was lost in the process of being thrown into a box.
You jerk.

so, it landed neither in the box, nor outside the box, but slipped through the cracks of reality?

Yep, It now exists frozen in the barrier between "In" and "Out" of the box.
