I meant it to be a joke, as in poking fun at this war with the pretending bit, but I guess people like Jim can't get that. Or maybe I wrote it wrong? I don't know. I'm really too tired to care :)

I figured out what I'm going to be.

I am going to be a pirate, who was stranded on a raft in the Bermuda Triangle when he was suddenly transported into the future! Which just so happens to be our present. He then decides to just pirate music and live in someone's parents basement.

Almost sounds like the plot for a sic-com.

Halloween costumes are all about gross stereotypes and hyperboles. If you've got a problem with generalizing the middle class, what about nurses, maids, and police officers?

I'm going as a Spartan from 300, and a couple of my lady friends are going to be Spartan women. I very much hope that my housemates are down with having a party, because I really don't want to have to be outdoors much with so little clothing.

I wasn't demeaning you or casting stones from a higher ground. I was saying that you're overreacting like you've done 100 times before, and I'm giving you a helpful suggestion to not bother. The reference to "classes" isn't an attack on anyone, but the socio-economic definition of landfish, and one that tends to define how he looks. If you want to argue about the misconceptions and preconceived notions about classes, make a new thread. Don't call someone out for using a non-combative stereotype that you decided to take offense to on the internet.
