I can't ask for more.

It is the best book.

Props to Kirb for telling me about this book.

If you liked Slaughterhouse-Five, read Mother Night. It's not as well-known, but it's my favorite of all the Vonnegut that I've read.

Well, currently making an oral presentation for this book. I'll probably do it in Billy's POV.

This isn't about him, it's about you reading Breakfast of Champions.

I have a 1st edition BoC in my library. It's like the 23rd print. I am so book indie.

Only thing in the book that confused me was the part where Billy gets "unstuck" in time and "abducted" by the Trals.

Did he possess that 4th dimension quality and found out about it at the time where he was against the tree when Reary was looking for him?

or

Did the aliens first tell him about this quality and with the Trals help he was able to use this ability seeing all time and all. I remember the Trals saying he should "focus" so I am assuming that he does have the 4th dimension sight. But then again... he still sees in 3-D.

or it all happened but is just recycling.

Little confusion with that.

Read Cat's Cradle next, it's probably my favorite of his.

They are all war-induced delusions that he uses to try to cope with the loss of everything he loved, including his youth (taken by the war), and his wife (taken by the airplane crash). At least, that's how I see them.

absolutely agree. Vonnegut is my favorite American author of all time. My first was Slaughterhouse then I moved to Cat's Cradle. Good stuff.

Additionally, I thought Mother Night, Cat's Cradle, and Slaughterhouse 5 were his best.
