Fever

It's 4 AM. Every part of my body seems to ache, I'm all dizzy, my legs won't carry me and I can't breathe through my nose. Since I can't get any sleep anymore I thought I'd start a thread!

A couple of years ago I was put on antibiotics when I had high fever (about 41 degrees C). I know taking antibiotics does some kind of harm, but it was so easy: first you feel awful, then you take some antibiotics and you're cured. That was fun.

So post your fever experiences.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

I once had a flu so bad that I lost about 2 days. I slept and only woke up for water and bathroom.
obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...

i hear ya kroko, I'm coming down with something nasty today. Same symptons you have, just less extreme. Could be because I spent 5 hours in the rain today cheering on my cross country team... it was worth it.
DO NOT WANT.

Rest, drink assloads of gookinaid (now hydralyte) and regular water, and, during most of my life...

Play JK!

I rarely get sick these days.

As I've told Kroks before, I can't remember the last fevor I had. :\

If it persists and you need something for your nose, try an oxymetazoline HCl based nasal spray. A few squirts in a congested nose (possibly two to three times since the first ones won't clear it if its that bad), wait 3-5 minutes and it'll be clear.

Works far better than pseudoephedrine. Don't use it for more than three days though, else it can start to make it worse.

Eww, Kroko, that sucks. .(

The last fever I had was when I had a severe case of strep the first week of this semester and for some reason I still went to every one of my classes. I vividly hallucinated in advertising and graphic design and I don't remember ever going to my fairy tales class at all but apparently I did.

Ah strep throat! My wonderful teenage friend! It was sort of a love/hate relationship. I didn't mind the downtime (An excellent side effect of it being contagious) , but I like swallowing.

The closest I've ever come to hallucinations that I can remember was falling asleep, in the middle of trying to sit down, while on Benadryl.

While I do not have a fever, it seems lately that everything I eat comes out 15 minutes later. I'm eating some carrots and stomach/GI tract is still going "**** you, *****!" I'm trying to trace the exact food(s) that is causing my GI woes. Eggs are the current winner thus far. Both instances I've eaten eggs prior and the next item I eat causes toilet rush.

I'm sure you all wanted to read this. :D

Edit: Yes, as evident by my custom title, I will cut back on the alcohol too.

Even with my diverse medical history, I've still had like 41 C fever only once back in 1998. It was just lying on my bed waiting for it to go away. Kind of a let-down really. Hell, even when I've had just 38-40 C it has been really boring and I rarely get fever these days.

My senior year in highschool I got a wonderful case of bronchitis an ear infection and a fever. My fever maxed at 105. And I was basically out of school for two and a half weeks. It was rough. On the brightside, I was able to finally play Kotor 2. :D

I little while back i caught a bug at my classmates 21st. For a few days i was vomiting every 15 minutes and had really bad diarehia. For a period it got to a point where i couldn't control it and i pooed in my bed. I couldn't sleep. I would just lay on my bed with my head in my knees rocking back and forth. It took me a week to get back to eating food.
Take that there and put it in here

Aside from semi-frequent headaches, I'm a pinnacle of health. I can't remember the time I was ill.

It damaged my memory.

I've got a cold from staying outside in the rain while it was 40 degreeZ outside... totally worth it, tho.
