My dad wants to learn Python

He's a safety and fire engineer who wants to modify the software BitPim which he uses to sync address books. It's written in Python. However, I don't know Python, nor have I ever studied it.

Does anyone have some good sources on learning Python? kthxbai

Python.org is great. When I was trying to learn, that's what I used, and it was really easy to understand, even when I was 12.

Of course, recognizing the difference between input and imput was too much for a 12 year old...

My dad is attempting to learn Python as well (though, he has not worked on it much as of late). He likes to read tutorials/examples online and implement the code himself. He is a big proponent of learning by doing and it seems to be working for him.

I have some experience with Python (Our product is written in it). It's relatively simple, and very powerful.
