There won't be much visual effects. Spielberg has said that 70% of the effects in the film are special (on-set) effects, while only 30% will be visual (computer -generated.)

Shia should loose the mustache.

It's amazing the wonders that make-up can do.

Either that, or she aged amazingly well.

Sallah may have no need to ride to war. I fear war already marches on his own lands.

Seriously this movie will suck.
2007-11-01, 8:39 AM #21
Shia will ruin this movie for me.

If he is anything like he was in Transformers, I'll hang myself the minute he starts acting like a more twitchy Vince Vaughn again.

Why am I the only one that thinks he did a perfectly fine job in transformers? I think the whole "OMG SHIA SUX" crap is getting really old. Seriously. I'm not saying he's the best young actor, but he is definitely better than a lot of young actors you see, and he has versatility in his roles (see: Disturbia).

I thought he did a great job in transformers. Had me laughing A LOT.

I'm willing to give him a chance in indy4

It's just my opinion. Stuttering innocent teenager that basically cribs his whole performance from Vince Vaughn does not equal funny. Just watch Shia in Transformers, and Vince Vaughn in Wedding Crashers. You'd think they were related. It was just incredibly annoying when I wanted him to finish whatever the **** he was saying. Then again, I can't blame it all on him though, because anybody that gets the worst dialouge ever seen on film (courtesy of the glorious Michael Bay) is already at a disadvantage. If you hadn't guessed it, I really hated Transformers.

Shia was good in Disturbia. However, I am picturing his role in Indy much more like he was in Transformers than Disturbia. That's why I am a bit perturbed. Hopefully Spielberg and Lucas will keep him in line (I'm more leaning towards Spielberg on this one).

I, personally, don't see any similarities between Leboeuf and Vaughn and I own both moves (and loved both). I thought Transformers was glorious.

Shia is going to be playing a pretend badass. Some guy who thinks he is tought but is actually a loser.

They wrote the part for me but discovered I wouldn't have to act to play it. :gbk:

I don't mind him as an actor, I just don't think someone his age has a place in an Indy movie.

there was a younger kid in temple of doom, and, while annoying, short round was actually useful in some parts of the film.

unless you dont count ToD as an indy movie.

That doesn't make any sense.

I like Temple of Doom just fine, I just felt that it got buried because it wasn't a well-known or Christian relic being found.
