I have the same feeling, so I'm building a small media center PC in an old xbox case I've acquired. :awesome:

I can get an AMD Athlon 64 x2 5200+ (2.6Ghz) for 75 bucks...is that a worthwhile upgrade from my 3600 (1.9Ghz o/c'd to 2477Mhz)? Think I could overclock the 5200 significantly..? Hrm.

I know the feeling exactly. And when I'm not upgrading my own systems, I like to upgrade old computers that others are getting rid of and do silly case mods. My apartment always looks like a comptuer workshop. I have sold some on ebay, but I have never made a profit on them. I have to constantly fight the urge to waste money on this stuff since I want a new quad core system in 3 months.

Good stuff. I liked the Green Machine, and the picture where it has the intel logo saying "Pimp inside"

All you need is a T.V. show on G4 called "Pimp My P.C." and you'll be in business.
